The campaign has been in full-force for over 12 months. Where was Donald Trump and his mindset about the African American community? During his whole campaign he catered to the white audience, mostly uneducated and borderline racist, but an audience he felt comfortable speaking to. Now, 14 months into the race he, all of a sudden, wants to reach out to the black community only because he's losing miserably!
On Saturday, September 3rd, 2016, Trump visited a church in Detroit and thought it was just going to be a walk in the park. He gave a "prepared" speech that he claimed came from the heart, but didn't appear to be. He stood on stage like a snake oil salesman trying to sell the black community a scam. Fortunately, we are not as dumb as his followers at his rallies. Detroit didn't buy the oil and sent him packing back to NYC..
You see! Trump did things to the minority community way before he thought of running for President. He thought most wouldn't remember or too dumb to reject him, but he was so, so, wrong. As long as Trump has people like Giuliani in his corner, who discrimated and allowed brutal treatment against blacks during his time as Mayor, he'll always be connected with racism and bigotry.
So, when every person of color is thinking of who to vote for, think about housing discrimination, employment discrimination, women discrimination, anti-immigration, mocking the disabled, mocking a war hero, taking advantage of bankruptcy laws as if it's a free for all, and finally using the 9/11 tragedy and a way to make money.
